Majahuitas Beach Paradise
Approximate duration: 9:00 a.m. to 2 p.m. • Boat Ride: 40 mins.
Located on the south side of the bay and only reachable by boat, one of the most beautiful beaches in Vallarta, Majahuitas offers beautiful, clear water for snorkel enthusiasts and great dive sites. After enjoying water sports, people can sunbathe without being bothered by beach vendors or crowds. Spend a wonderful day in the sun having fun.

Playa Majahuitas is the ideal place if you just want to turn off the cell phone, forget the clock and disconnect completely from everything – except nature and relaxation, of course.
The only practical way to get there is by sea, favorite starting points are the pier at Los Muertos beach in the Zona Romantica.
The name Majahuitas comes from “Majahua” – which is actually the original name of the beach – a local tree, (Hibiscus pernambucensis) with large leaves that can grow by the sea and is commonly found on these beaches in the southern area of the Bay of Banderas. Local children used their branches to make toy bows, because they are soft and easy to carve while they are wet and they become more resistant and maintain their elasticity when they dry.
In addition to white sand and crystal clear water, there is also a reef in place and numerous underwater caves inhabited by a great variety of marine fauna.
